Founded in 1967, Moraine Valley Community College’s tradition of providing a quality education at an affordable cost continues to thrive. With an enrollment of more than 46,000 students annually, Moraine Valley, situated on nearly 300 acres in Palos Hills, is the second largest community college in Illinois.

The college offers more than 100 degrees and certificates for transferring to a four-year college or career training in today’s hottest fields. A full array of courses and services for adults, including Fast Track degrees, the Adult Learner Program, and day care for children while parents are in day-time classes, help make it easier to return to college. Additionally, Moraine Valley offers noncredit personal development courses for all ages, and reaches out to the business community with customized training solutions. The Moraine Valley Education Center at Blue Island affords students the ideal location at which to continue their studies, as do additional class sites throughout the district, including the Southwest Education Center to be built in Tinley Park.

Rounding out the college experience is an active campus with clubs and organizations, competitive athletics, a health fitness center, and more. The college’s Fine and Performing Arts Center features world-class entertainment, art exhibits and exceptional theatrical and musical performances.

Our growth makes us among the largest community colleges in the state, but it is our continued commitment to student success that makes us one of the premier community colleges in the nation.
